BCR Environmental Contracts with U.S. Navy for Efficient Biosolids Treatment
CleanB™ Solution at NAS Jacksonville will Save Money and Reduce Energy Consumption
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – July 17, 2012 – BCR Environmental has announced a contract with the Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS Jacksonville) to deliver a CleanB™ solution for biosolids treatment. NAS Jacksonville is the largest Navy base in the Southeast and the third largest in the nation. The NAS Jacksonville CleanB™ system will provide significant cost and energy savings.
“We are extremely proud to partner with the Navy to provide sustainable biosolids treatment,” said Aaron Zahn, BCR President and CEO. “With the approval of this contract, BCR is now on the Navy’s pre-approved vendor list. We hope this will be the first of many projects developed in partnership with the Navy.”
CleanB™ is BCR’s patented residuals treatment solution designed to eliminate odors and treat biosolids to U.S. EPA Class B standards. BCR’s CleanB™ system will replace the current, more energy-intensive wastewater treatment process at NAS Jacksonville.
“We welcome this opportunity to partner with the private sector to improve the efficiency of our wastewater treatment and provide significant cost savings to the United States Navy. BCR’s CleanB™ solution will deliver effective, state-of-the-art biosolids treatment for the Jacksonville Naval Air Station,” said Gerald “Jay” Caddy of the Southeast Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
